Hi uncle noordin, this is the most visited island in the Aegean Sea. It's also known as Thira to the local Greeks.

Well that was a long journey to me ... I was in Patras when I was there... Nothing interesting there except that bridge and 3 hour drive from Athens....:(

Ya, I was in Patras for some official matters too. Other than the Rion-Anterion bridge, you gotta go to the outskirt to look for Delphi.

Hi Na7ure, thanks. :) I was on a 4-week trip to Istanbul, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and Patras. I spent about RM14k inclusive of air tickets. With the present hike in Euro, I think you have to add in another 5%. I would say 60-70% of the expenses are on accommodation, so you can check out the quality and prices at Booking.com (http://www.booking.com/). :)

Were you travelling on your own or on a group tour?
Is it a safe place to travel on your own or as a couple all on our own?
RM 14K for 4 weeks is actually quite reasonable.
Do we really need 4 weeks or can we see all the places you mentioned in a lot less time say 2 days in each place only?
Thanks for your information.. and for sharing this wonderful place. Am thinking of going there with my soul partner....

Hi macropixman, I was on my own free and easy trip as I wanted more time for photography.
There is no danger or annoyance of assault by pick-pocketing is an annoyance in all the touristy places in Europe.
If you are just planning for a sight-seeing trip with less concern for photography, 2 weeks should be able to cover 80% of the places I mentioned. :)
Woah!!
