Kerteh-Paka

I have to cover somebody for about 1 month at Kerteh Industrial area. This place is just about 106km north to Kuantan. To get there, one need to follow the beach road to Kuala Terengganu. The drive to Kerteh is not as convenient as before as Kemaman town has lots of traffic lights, busy traffic and the road narrowing due to constructions. However all are paid for if one choose to have a longer relaxing journey by stopping at various scenic places.

Friday is a weekend holiday for some but as for me I have to work until 12 noon. My son Maman and I drove north after i finished my work, heading past Paka town to Hutan Simpan Bukit Bauk. Nothing was there unless we chose to do jungle trekking. We later headed back to Paka stopping at a kampung with a high cliff. It still retains its scenic view, at least for the time being before it is torn down by a granite quarry. We took a walk along the hillside, beaches and not forgetting to perform our prayers at Masjid Paka.

On the way back to Kuantan, we stopped at Kerteh town, took sometime at Kemasek and chose the old Kijal road before arriving home.

Yea... irritating.. i am trying to get in touch with MNS, to find a way to save the beach and the kampung. The hill acts as a shield against the monsoon wind.

how do u manage to get into the industrial area? isnt the place been fenced off?

actually we could 'smell' this guy once we reached the unique cliff and the hunt began. :)

sorry laa and most likely... i wouldnt know actually as it was taken under the harsh afternoon sun... converted from raw to jpeg at kerteh interplant medical complex office PC with graphic card problem which i had already increased the gamma correction in order to see images. :(

i am now working at Petronas Petrolchemical Industrial Complex. i am stationed with the central emergency response service. :)

nak buat mcm mana... something that terjumpa di sana. if you happened to be in kuantan, sunday-friday, i'll be at Paka dan friday will be outing day as i have to work till 12 noon only. lepas tu cari area dengan locals untuk memburu. on the way back, akan berhenti dari satu ke satu tempat yang lain. Amacam Meng? :)

fariz... somehow i think u refer to doc as 'very informative guide' is a understatement.... hahaha... i joined him to tht night macro shooting...gosh... he was so informative he rather be the guide and allowed us to do most of the shooting.... he is the real master/sifu ...what ever u call him... :bow_down:
