In the film days white balance (WB) is corrected using either filters or the film itself. Today DSLR is such a convenient camera that incorporate all white balance under one roof, eliminate the needs to bring numbers of filters and films. However most DSLR Auto WB (shooting JPEG) has known to be mediocre at times, either too warm or too cold in color temperature. Editing the color temperature of a straight out from DSLR JPEG will heavily deteriorate the image quality. The only way to correct it is to shoot in RAW and post process but this is not the luxury many photographers have, especially wedding, event and sports photography.
In every DSLR there's custom WB, which allows you to shoot a scene and record the WB. However this will not give you correct WB value (color temperature) unless you have a 18% gray card (http://www.acecam.com/magazine/gray-card.html) as reference. We are selling Mennon 18% gray card (http://www.yamiya.com.my/store/product.php?productid=17605). Comes with one 5"x7" and one 8"x10" Gray Cards along with a tutorial CD.

A gray card is the cheapest way to get correct WB, but not at all a convenient method. You need someone or something to hold it to shoot. Mennon White Balance DC/DV Camera Cap (http://www.yamiya.com.my/store/product.php?productid=17611) gives you the convenient by simply by putting it in front of your lens, shoot the scene, record it as custom WB.

At RM25 this is a great starter kit for photographers on tight budget, or just want a taste of how WB tools work. For the price you paying, please understand the mediocre results you gonna get too. Feedback says it gives 60-70% accuracy, which is still better than pure AWB.
For best results go for Aurora Lite Bank White Balance Filter (http://www.yamiya.com.my/store/product.php?productid=17612).

Sometimes ordinary WB might not always be a good idea when it's so easy to get the warmer and richer images that clients and audiences prefer? For professional cameramen, videographers, and digital photographers a "true" white balance is rarely acceptable any more. This is when you need WarmCards (http://www.yamiya.com.my/store/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=22).

The WarmCards White Balance Reference System is a sophisticated set of white balance cards that make it easy to get a warmer white balance, and then to keep the "warm balance" consistent throughout the shoot -- with exact precision. WarmCards are the fastest, easiest, and most consistent way of manipulating your camera's white balance to improve skin tones and eliminate the cold electronic look that CCDs provide. Once you've seen the difference WarmCards can make, you'll probably never use an ordinary white balance ever again. Clients love the warm look!
