[WTA] About dust on sensor

I have a nikon d50.. The prob i face is, my camera sensor or mirror got dust on it.. pretty clear and visible on the pics i take.. i tried to blow with the blower, but it still there.. maybe my way of blowing it is wrong.. or else it fungus.. i also can see with bare eyes when i take off the lense, got dust on the sensor..

my question is.. i bought it 2nd hand, the warranty end on sept 2008.. if i go to nikon service center, is it free? n how long it takes to clean it..? n my 2nd choice is.. if i send to YL.. can my prob solve? how much i need to pay?

i think it's free if u send it to nikon and they usually get it down in 15 mins.

u could try cleaning the sensor yourself. got various methods to do it.

i'm also proud owner of D50 too.
i got dust problem a month back send it to Nikon at PJ, wait for 10 minutes, DONE!
so at which aperture (f-value) you already see the dust?
btw, a shop in Penang quoted me RM50 for general/light sensor cleaning.

Nikon will do it for free, even when your warranty has expired, usually takes 15 minutes.

Jason at J-one can also do a good job.

that's bad.. u should clean it up a.s.a.p.
Nikon PJ will do it for free, and don't forget to test it after they clean it.

1 more thing i want to ask..
how to go there? by commuter.. and then by taxi.. what is the nearest commuter?

take LRT to Taman Jaya LRT Station.
from there there are 2 options:
1) take taxi to Menara PKNS, should cost you RM3.50
2) walk to Menara PKNS, FREE! but will take around 10 minutes to reach there.

when u reach Menara PKNS, go to 11th floor.
you will not miss Nikon Malaysia.
