Bac Ha is a small town about 100km from Sapa, in northern Vietnam. Every Sunday, Bac Ha hosts the biggest market in the area where the ethnic minorities and tribes from the mountainous highlands gather. Its like a trading post and meeting place for couples, friends and relatives. The Hmong people will come from near and far dressed in their most colourful costumes.

The colours at the market are almost blinding... shown here are the yarns which are dyed by hand and used for making their colourful costumes.
