My first try.....women's accessories.

Attention all SA gurus and sifus.........Here is my first attempt at trying out my new DSLR. Just bought the D80, while browsing for new accessories for it, I stumbled onto this new product. A light box (dunno what's it called) for product shoot. So this is my take on 3 things. Firstly, the camera...secondly the light box and lastly the shot itself. I'm not used to the camera and settings yet....and everything was very basic.
C&c on all 3 aspects very much appreciated.

overexpose. the details on the white thingie is lost. Also the big diamond and see the light reflection.

I concur.....guess I have to shoot lots and lots more to train my eye for the right exposure. Have to learn more about lighting too. Any suggestions on how to eliminate the reflections on the main stone?
