some of my shots from my third roll.
using the normal Kodak UltraMax 400. can't find any other films here in Penang.
this time i've tried overexposing it by 1/3eV.
image was scanned from the negative using Fujifilm SLP800 which i think also known as FujiFilm Frontier 330.
no adjustments were made, just resized them to 800px to the longest side.

camera: Nikon FM2n
lens: Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF-D
film: Kodak UltraMax 400

Both pictures seem slightly bright to me. Maybe this time not overexposing would have been better? Actually, I feel guilty criticizing your shots. They are taken in film after all, and in my hands it would have been horrible.

Anyway there is this glare on the top of the 2nd shot? Is that the reflection from your car window?

yeah... now i shall underexposed my shots if i planned to scanned the negative. but if i want to print it, i guess i have to overexpose it.

vijay,
don't feel guilty, man! actually i prefer being criticize rather than praised. it will be a good lesson for me to learn. sometimes a smack on the head will do me good also. :P
actually, for this roll, most of it i overexposed it by 1/3eV. just to know which practice is better; overexposed & underexposed.
the glare is actually "light spill" (if i'm not mistaken). it caused by my shutter curtain. it is not in a good shape when i got my FM2n. gonna cost me a few hundreds to get it fixed.
thanks vijay for the inputs. really appreciate it. :)

You can get Fujifilm & Konica negatives fairly easy in Penang. I've seen Ilford at a shop too.

Colours appear diluted. I would prefer it more pekat. But I have this same problem with this film too. Zumi, where did you do your scanning? I wonder if it's due to the stingy printer trying to save cost on ink? I've kinda heard of this but can't be sure. matikatak, what do you say about this?

Try the camera shops along Penang Road next to ClickNSnap as well as opposite further down the road. Can also check out KY Digital and 7-Eleven. Also few stationary and sundry shops opposite USM. You'll also find Kodak at Caltex and Fujifilm at Tesco.

Nice subjects but direct scan doesn't do justice to them. Maybe you can post direct scan and after PP sets. :P

in Penang, u can easily find Kodak Ultramax 400 or Fujifilm Superia X-Tra 400. and Kodak T-Max 100. i am looking for something like ASA1600 B&W film. i mean, i know i can get them in KL, at Pudu Plaza. but the main problem is, i can't find shops that can develop B&W.
