Actually I prefer Las Carretas. Better than Tony Romas although Tony Romas is more accessible cos las Carretas is only in Subang or Ampang, both of which are too far from my place... whereas Tony Romas have outlets in Sunway and Cineleisure.

Taipan not small. Which part of Taipan ah? :)

The only question is whether I'm willing to go the distance.

what are they good for? Ribs? Burgers?

Taipan not big also la, drive one round you can find it :D It's on outside block facing the houses. Quick Google can find you the maps (http://lascarretas.com/contact.html#map) anyway.

It's one of the best places for Mexican food, fajitas etc.

Las Carretas is in the same row as Public Bank/Standard Chartered. It's in the middle of the row.

For good ribs, i will recommend the Rib Shop at Damansara Heights, behind Victoria station. They serve excellent huge ribs.. but have to book in advance to dine in.

k k. big is subjective.

i used to stay around that area and I'd really hate to drive around there trying to look for a shope. :P

I have no idea how Las Carettas came up in this thread anyway, it doesn't even serve similar food to Tony Roma's!
