As orionmystery requested, here is the constellation of Orion.

Orion can be seen in the starry night sky during winter time. It has an obvious 3 stars aligned almost as a straight line at the center part of Orion.

The movie of 10,000 B.C also used the Orion (The Hunter) as a feature in the movie.

To photography it, use a 28mm lens with any DSLR camera at high ISO and aperture full open about 20 seconds. You will get this constellation.

heh orion looking at your where you came from :D

btw apgm u may wanna try star digiscoping if u are into stars, get one of those telescopic digiscoping lens with a converter and attach it to your DLSR...hehe..won't cost that much unlike a 70-200 2.8 VR

With this constellation, u can't use more than 50mm, if not, u can't take all part of the constellation. So, cannot use the way u suggest.

Unless u want to take the nebula inside tis constellation, as below:

M42 Orion Nebula (refer to the photo above, at the red part slightly bottom from center):

pic 1, horse head nebula + M42 orion nebula, the top 2 bright stars are 2 of 3 stars of the belt.
