guys what is the fastest way to turn on and off a speedlight.am using a d200. i saw some of the pros here can turn off and on by just a button or two.

Not sure I get your question dude? We talking SB-800 here, or what?

SB-800 you just press the on/off button for a second or so and it'll turn off.

yeah sb800. instead of switching off that way, is there any way to switch off via the camera body itself?

Not as far as I know, but if you switch the camera off the speedlight will go onto standby.

I don't see the advantage of turning it off from the camera anyway, unless it's wireless? But then after a while it'll go to standby anyway, which takes hardly any power at all.

D200 . i think there's a two functions in front the camera ....on the top is the depth-of-field preview, while the bottom one is the customizable Function button.

thanks murugan sivakalan. yeah can set in customizable button. just press and hold to off the flash on every shots. just release it to resume back to normal. thanks:)
