i m no bird-man, but this bird has been killing, eating my pet fish in my man made pond...
may i know whats the name of the bird... and how to get rid of them? :mad:

That is a Chinese Pond Heron. They are migratory. When they arrive, they are mostly brown and white. This one has a maroon head and neck with a blue/grey back, now in its breeding plumage.
It will move on soon as they are migrating north at this time of year.

What you should do is open your pond area to birders and charge them entrance fee, that way you'll offset your lost fish. :run_away:

Wow...great idea! I should do the same for bugs :). Build a air-conditioned small park with lots of bugs...:D
No mozzies, no leeches...just bugs :)
