Nice catch :). Did you find any other types of bugs up there? I didn't see many bugs during my last trip there :(

Hey man, these are good. Are these cropped or full size?
The last few pix, resembles the spider that I nuked, until you can see his backbone.

That day I have not much time to take photo actually because I was having a car club event.
Anyway thanks.........

Is this the same as here: http://www.shutterasia.com/forum/showpost.php?p=92621&postcount=36 :?
If it is, then I think this spider is commonly found in highlands. My pictures were taken halfway at Gabai Waterfalls.

Very nice shots you have there, btw did you try a shot with flash and how big is the spider you capture...??
Mine are around <15mm.

I did try flash, but the abdomen was too reflective. I was lucky as I had enough ambient light to get the proper exposure. It was mid afternoon and the sun was shining brightly.
The length of the spider, from head to end of abdomen was about 6-8 cm. It's certainly a huge spider, so far that I have seen. :)

In my case at that time, natural lighting certain works.
Thanks again, but I'm not sure whether my spider is the same as yours. According to reds, there's another type where the abdomen is more curvier.

I think your 800 ISO setting are a bit high at that time if the light are good enough, If you use higher speed and smaller aperture and lower the ISO, you will get shaper and better DOF.
Hope you don't mind my point of view.
