Hey this is nice. Wai Yin looks a lot more matured compared to the last time that I used to know her. A different taste. I like them all. (Sorry, couldn't help browsing through all your pictures in your site! :P)

In potrait or people shoot, is it normal to shoot a half head like #1 above? Agree that the color contrast is nice :D..but can't see her face lor :run_away:

#1 is more subject to personal preference, to me if it is a part of the whole complete portrait set than is nice.:D

No, standard setting in 40D. Boost up in Aperture

Indeed. Heavy vignetting in Aperture affects this results :P

Personally I like the first shot a lot, even with the head cut off. Gives it a sense of mystery to me. Wonderful photos :D
