Thanks guys for the kind comments. No 1 and 5 are my fav.

Mobbes: Yeah some of them a bit too dark. I used a 8x ND Grad. Maybe 4X will be just nice. Yet to get it. Hopefully for the next trip.:D

ST: I dun mind going back. Great place with lots of subjects but din have much time. I took this long route to Ipoh for a change. Whole journey almost 9 hours . I also stopped by Klang for BKT, Sungai Besar, Kuala Selangor, Teluk Intan and Tanjung Tualang for some fresh water prawns :eating:.

Anyone interested to go Sekinchan when the fields are golden in June, please put your names down here:

Being new in this forum, I'm not too sure about the rules of engagement.

Although it's a friendly trip, I don't know whether should I spill the details since planning of this trip was started in another forum.

How's the planning from this forum? :)

Thanks ST for the clarification.

Well, actually the plan is a 1 day trip [27th of May 2007 (Sunday)] to Sekinchan, and Kuala Selangor (including the Kuala Selangor Nature's Park). We also welcome anyone to join us, as it's just an easy outing, to relax and shoot photos. :)

I'm asking cause I have seen some planning to Sekinchan earlier on this thread, but the plan seems stalled? The harvesting is going to be soon, in fact some farmers have already started harvesting. ;)

Right now we already have 20 registered participants (7 tentative).

Yeah, the group may be too big and logistic will be a nightmare.

Let me discuss with my group first, maybe we shall cap at 25 people.

Thanks.

I think shutterasia's 2nd June is still a good date. I shall keep you guys updated on my trip since we are going there first.

The direction is pretty straight-forward. If you are coming from KL, there are a few alternatives.

Normally I go through the LDP highway until you reach the end (passed by 1U & Curve), pay the toll, and turn left at Kepong. Go straight (passing by Ijok, Bukit Rotan) until you reach Assam Jawa. Take the right turn to Kuala Selangor (left turn is to Klang). Just go pass Kuala Selangor town, Pasir Penambang, Tanjung Karang, and you will reach Sekinchan. The paddy fields are quite obvious from the sides of the main road. Total estimated time to arrive: 1 1/2 hours :)

Are you guys spending the whole day just shooting at the paddy fields? There is also the Bagan area (fishing village). It's on the left of the main road, where as the paddy fields are on your right.

Some says that there are paddy fields at Tanjun Karang too, but it's not obvious from the main road.

Hope this helps. Someone may have a better route than mine.

Thanks kiankheong. What if i come from the Jalan Kucing side. Is it ok to head towards Sg Buluh from the Batu Caves roundabout & onwards to Kuala Selangor? Hope there are signboards :) What time's best for the Bagan / fishing village side?
Thanks

That route also can, cause eventually you will be reaching Kepong. Just go straight all the way as I mentioned previously above.

The best time are of course the golden hours. But be careful, last week I went in the evening to capture the setting sun. Unfortunately it was cloudy too :(

The farmers usually inspect their paddy in the evening time. Can capture some human activities. ;)

Bagan I'm not too sure. I don't know the time when the fishermen unload their cargo. But it's a good place for lunch or dinner.
