You can find all the answers to your questions online, it's not a new camera.

Service isn't great, but the camera is fab (highest dynamic range for a dSLR) although it's very slow.

keen observation, but i believe S5 uses the D200 body/chassis, as traditionally with previous FUJIFILMs after NIKON's body.
