help on this overexpose

i have lot of this 'overexpose' photo some i really love it due to lack of riend to shot. timing too good or my timing too bad could you guys help with it and teach me the way of doing it. thanks .....

use of colour range to pick up burnt catch lights, fill with skin tone.
reduce the brightness on the face caused by direct built-in flash.
need some brush work colour range mask.

Here's mine, didn't use any masking, but did tidy the picture up the overexpose wasn't the only problem.

how i do it..

duplicate the original layer --> layer choose multiply --> opacity 25% --> duplicate the 2nd layer --> filter choose guassian blur --> opacity 25%

..here my lazy, easy & lousy edited result :tounge_smile:

Here's my effort at trying to rectify this image's flash highlights.
Many layer adjustments, blending, masking and what nots have gone into this.
The one crucial factor I saw which needed attention was trying to adjust the differences in contrast between the 3 zones : The highlighted forehead, the mid face-chin, and also the body areas. Apart from that, I also rotated the image to make it a close up portrait, as I thought the skewed angle was rather odd, and the other girl in the background was a distraction to this otherwise faboulous looking model.
