KATA originally is a defense armor and case manufacturer before expanding their business line into video and photography equipments carrying case and bags. KATA might only be in the camera bag business for 2 years, but they are number one in professional video bags for many years worldwide. All KATA bags comes with 5 years warranty. Quality wise it is guaranteed. Not any least than Lowepro.

Put aside quality and durability, the design of KATA DR-467 (my personal preference) is better looking than Lowepro Compudaypack. Anyhow preference is down to individual. You might find Compudaypack more attractive.

DR-467 is much lighter than Compudaypack. Some people think lighter bag means less protection, which is quite the contrary. KATA revolutionizes bag design using light weight yet tough and durable material. Light weight bag means you can carry more equipments without breaking your shoulder.

Also DR-467 comes with a rain cover while Compudaypack doesn't.

Both bag fits 17" laptop and about the same units of lenses and camera body. No complain.

Ergonomic wise DR-467 stands out. It comes with a harness system with sternum strap & anti-tilt belt. Compudaypack only comes with a simple harness system. There's also an optional trolley system on DR-467. You can slide the bag to most luggage handle too, just like some laptop bags do.
