Now I got to dig back my pass edit and give them a proper edit.

confirmed , if you are in bridge, right click on the jpeg image and there should be a command known as "open with camera raw" I am using ACR 4.1.1 on cs3

Still...It now opens up to various editing that I have never done before with JPeg.
I use to open jpeg with CS3, what I ll do is Levels, And I use Colour balance to try to adjust WB..It is tough..

Why not save all that hassle and shoot RAW exclusively? I used to shoot JPEG and RAW but I found that a wasted of storage space, so I shoot only in RAW and convert those that are perfect. :D
