The following photos were taken using a borrowed 50mm f/1.8 lens one evening outside Amcorp Mall. I had just gotten the D40 and was trying out the 50mm lens.

As usual, C & C are welcomed to help me improve.

#1. I could even see the reflection of TNB transmission tower and lines on the side of the yellow sports car.

2008

#2. Nice car! Wished it were mine.

2009

#3. I thought this small pole made an interesting subject.

2010

#4. Despite the lack of vividness in the natural colour of the plant, I was intrigued with the background bokeh effect... though it's really nothing to shout about.

2011

#5. Chain and padlock.

2012

White balance seems a bit out and mostly underexposed, but good test for depth of field :)

Ya, I heard so much about it when I first got the D40. Now with the tips and feedback I get here, I hope to be able to improve further.

Thanks ST! I'm wondering whether to leave the WB on auto? Hmm.

Ya, my bad about the underexposure :azz: It's a good lesson learned. Now to shoot more! Appreciate all your efforts!
