Although j-one the deal was good and the guy was friendly but the product that I was suppose to purchase is not given as i was told.
Canon 400d + Kit lens + Ultra 2 san disk 2gb cf card (RM2100)
the memory card was changed to a pendrive 2gb cf cad without informing me until i realized. Thought it was really bad.

Well, miscommunication happens at times. If this is your first puchase of DSLR , many things will come accross your mind, and sometimes a handy confirmation before you head down to make your puchase would help

exactly...
i'd say it's ur own fault for not checking ur things first before leaving...
jason wouldnt do that...
i've bought close to 30k worth of stuff from him...
or if u have ordered it thru a fren...
there could be a possibility that YOUR fren is the culprit...
also from what i see from jason's shop...
he doesnt carry PENDRIVE branded cards...
peace...

J-One is one of the better store to deal with. I personally have bought more than RM10K items from him and there's no problem.

I have recommended quite a number of clients to him and there's only good comments too.

Hmmmmm..... could it be a miscommunication? Perhaps you can call up Jason to clarify.

(Anyway, I am using pendrive cards, sandisk cards and many other brands and I don't find much difference between them. For all you know, the so called branded ones could be OEM by them!))

Ah okie. Thx alot. Just checking because I am new. Anyway glad I went to the correct guy to purchase my new 400D since so many good comments about him so guess he won't cheat me in any other ways. :D
BTW sorry ' ShaolinTiger ' for double posting. New to this n Forums. First time using forum. Thanks.

I got a D3, 3 lenses, Manfrotto tripod, monopod, lightstands, numerous Nikon accessories all from J-One. All the stuff arrived in tip top condition, brand new and in perfect condition.
He does not even allow testing of any new body/lens to be fair to the eventual owner. I do not think Jason will try to cheat you over a SD card.
Have you called him up to enquire after you found out?
Anyway it is a very small matter.. since its a SD card ,there is no diff in speed unlike a CF Extreme IV and a CF Ultra II.

Yah have had excellent experience with Jason too, I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding.

Give him a call, maybe it's just a mistake - or maybe initial package changed.

SD card not much different anyway, I'd imagine it's what came bundled with the camera he probably didn't check.

i love jason's services
one of the crucial thing is he treats every DSLR with utmost care, to the extend of one cant try it as it would have been deemed as breaking the shutter count of the body. thats cool in terms of service reliability.

so i seriously doubt JOne would even try to con you becuz of a 2GB CF card.

i guess there must have been some form of miscommunication between the lines.

I made my first purchase (lens and a flash unit) at JOne a few weeks back and I have to agree with almost everyone here. Jason is a really friendly person and quite helpful in helping me to decide on some of my purchases. Perhaps there's some miscommunication somewhere?

Anyhow, I don't think the Sandisk Ultra II price differs much. The Extreme III & extreme IV version is a completely different story though as they are much faster and also more expensive compared to the normal CF cards you purchase from a PC store.

actually you concern is valid... we all like jason, but is what was advertised was sandisk and what he gave was pendrive, ask him why was that. Maybe canon did change the promo (if the promo came from canon).

But no harm asking him.

I got some of my gear from Jason as well, D300, Ixus, and some other gear. Yes he won't let other people simply simply touch the new stuff..

Good seller!

I think J-one and YL Camera are 2 reliable outlets in KL. There are bound to be others but I had pleasant experiences with these two from my past dealings. Remember price is just one factor. Service is just as equally important. When you get both you may find your own photographic skill lacking!
