=====================NON HALAL======================

We went to Fong Lye @ Mid Valley last Tuesday and ate Taiwanese Fried Chicken, Fried Tempura, Pork Intestine Soup Set and Tea Smoked Duck with glass noodles. We spent abt RM50 there. For full review, please read here (http://mormorbunny.blogspot.com/2008/06/fong-lye-gardens-mid-valley.html)

This was my favorite appetizer of that night.....

Fried Tempura!!!!

My Hunny said that it's chicken (or minced chicken with mixed into batter) and deep fried and then have 5 Spiced Powder sprinkled on it. I beg to differ as I felt it was floury batter (like chinese keropok lekor) deep fried and sprinkled with 5 spiced powder.

Can anyone can verify who is right or who is wrong?

Woah delicious! Time to go breaksfast.

I think u need to show a cut section of the food to vertify.

what's so different abt those sweet potato balls from the outside ones?? My hunny didn't wanna order those as he felt they were too common but when we were there...it was like half the restaurant was eating them...they did look like deep fried cheese balls or cheezels without the hole to me....

I only had the free potato ball they gave me with my meal. At least I think that was the potato ball since no other balls were present.

The sweet potato ball got char siew inside! :D
