Shot these pictures some months ago. Capoeira is an unique Afro-Brazilian ritual which combines the elements of dance, fighting, theatre, and music. Thus, there are many body movements & actions involved. If you like to know more about Capoeira, pls. click Here (http://www.bantus.com.my/archives/2007/01/15/about-capoeira).
The setup (lighting) was done for videography but wasn't ideal for photo shot and all pictures were shot without flash. Not sure how the video turn out. So Pls. bear with the soft & noisy pictures, just want to share this unique and traditional South American 'Dance Martial Art'. Feel free to comments.

As mentioned the lighting was set up for videography, 1 spotlight directly above the subject and another one on the front left of the subject.
I was there because one of my friend is attending the capoeira class and he is helping them with the videography for their profile.

I thought so too. Thanks for your comment.
maybe u needed a higher shutter speed....
Most pics are at 1/200, 30-50mm focal length, couldn't push for higher shutter speed as ISO already at 1600.

as for shutter speed, i tried this as an option before. I shot at Shutter Priority in which it made the pictures a little under exposed (but still looked ok). Then i did a little post work (to my taste) and it looked amazing! It's my opinion though.

Superb series. You have captured the speed & agility of these fighters. Too high shutter speed will freeze all motion which would look unexciting. Good job!
