Need advice which of the following is good for events/concerts/wedding/landscape?Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 vs Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 vs Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8? & Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 vs Tamro 70-200mm f/2.8 vs sigma 70-200mm f/2.8? (comparison not in term of prices)Intend to buy the lens next week.Would be glad any user of the above lenses kind enough to give me some feed back or advice.Thnak you.Regards.

Buy Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 VR, no contest.

off course the 2 Nikon lenses. Is the best 1:D

If you have the budget get the 2 Nikons!

If you got money go for Nikon.
Few additional thoughts:
- If money is not so much an issue you might be planning to upgrade to a D700 in the future. In that case I would try to get a FF lens instead of the 17-55mm.
24-70 is excellent lens but of course you loose on the wide angle side.
14-24mm is superb as well but there will be a gap in center (which could be filled with a 35mm and a 50mm prime).
Of course you could get the 24-70mm first and add later on additional wide angle with the 14-24mm...

Agreed with that,in my opinion i would get the manufacture lens.:)
