I think you got the wrong end of the caterpillar :)

#1 for me but i'd prefer the empty space to be at the bottom rather than the top.

cropped? nope, no cropping done
the photo was under, at iso800 when u bring it up noise appears

yea.. the caterpillar's ass was more colorful! :P
