d80 overexposed issue

recently found that that my D80 tends to overexpose when using matrix metering.. even with -1 compensation under day light.. spot metering seems to expose better.. how come? anyone of you have the same problem? ;)

Actually, I think my D80 tend to underexpose when using matrix ... :? ... perhaps it is the subject ?

Nowadays I use Center Weighted or Spot where possible.

I heard a lot of people have the same problem, it was one of the reasons I didn't choose D80.

Hopefully Nikon will come out with a fixed firmware.
