1 week of exams finally passed.. my hands begin to itch.. went to Taman rimba Kiara this morning with Jonathan for morning macro.. :D

I like the lighting and saturation! If can get more DOF would be better for me, say smaller aperture around f16 ~f22.. no offence. Using any DIY diffuser? Cheers.

thx for looking and commenting kingfisher.. er.. im using the DIY plate diffuser.. er.. yea.. i did not try that yet as im not dat pro in controlling lighting.. :D

2nd batch looks a bit better of DOF.:D:D

I supposed 1st set was above 1:1. You didn't quite nail the focusing though. WB also seemed a bit off.

yea right OM.. i still need to learn how to stablilize my hands when im shooting in the jungle.. my hands still shaky

p/s.. using 1:1 with raynox250

#1 is not butt shot is back shoot .. u r not focus to the butt

#2-5 - DOF ....F13 is not good for 1.7:1
- based on 3 & 5 (if both same mantis), either u crop ur pictures or u make same mistake I make ... while raynox attached then hand automatic reduce the magnification from 1:1 to <1:1....
- not sue 100%, but in small size. u seem fail to focus on it eye

6 - why the leaf seem shaking ..???

8-9 - the long leg fly seem bit under, OOF
- DOF ...F13 is not good enough, should start using F16


should use 1:1 and master it before 1.7:1 .... as OM still shoot a lot in 1:1 now

i agree with that.. 1:1 sharp and crop the picture is better than 1.7:1 blur..
