My biggest problem is, I absolutely love the SB-800s. IMO, many of the added features are great. But I do not think I can justify switching everything out wholesale. Buying just one might be a very good idea -- I can see many instances when those extra features would make for a more useful single flash.

I agree, I think owning 1 SB-900 for on camera flash would be a smart idea, having a bunch for CLS? A little overkill.

I agree too... Same thing if get all SB-800 for CLS. Overkill!

You won't get much value by paying abt 30-40% more for a flash that is only slightly more powderful and some smart features here and there. BTW, anyone who wants to dispose off their SB800 cheap cheap can PM me.:D

Hahaha, I might sell my SB-800 and get this, I'll stick to SB-600 for strobist they are good enough.

No, because the stock is very limited.
They can't order how many units they want.
All they can do is waiting for Nikon to send the stocks to them.
They don't even know the exact quantity.
Shops already stop ordering SB-800 due to low price difference.
