For me, it would be the Hong Kong cityscape view from Kowloon at night.

most of the photographer will shoot at "山顶" - ThePeak
secondly, like zam mention, Kowloon at night or ”星光大道“
if have more time, can go Disneyland or ”海洋公园“
as for Macau, most famous food you need to taste "猪排包“
then the landscape of Macau of the casinos during night time

hope to see some photos from you :D

enjoy ur trip mate ;)

Seen the HK Island nightscape and Victoria Harbours from Peak too much..nice but don't do much for me anymore.

Since you're so into street photography, i suggest you check out the longest outdoor escalator in Central and the open air wet market there. I'm sure you'll love it there. There are similar wet markets in Wan Chai as well. Just take a trolley/tram from Central to Wan Chai....only HKD 2 :)

Take the life, the everyday scene that's common only to Hong Kong. Go to their market their working people stalls etc. :P

Ya... all the above was "common" traveler/photog like to shoot, especially you have only few days.:D
on my recent trip to HK, I found Tai-O was something diff for me after so many times to HK. Not sure u will like it or not (if u have time, after visited 'standard' spots, u may consider Tai-O)

For Macau, there is not much place to go unless u are a casino kaki or travel further to Zhuhai.

There are few places u can consider,
the Independent sign (dunno what it called)

A good experience for first timer..hehe..but when you have been to Tokyo or US of A, then it is a different story..why not start from 'small'?
