Interesting mask. Was it moving or stationary? Looks like a ladybird larva, or could be pupa?

Judging from the size of the subject in the 1:1 shot, your 2:1 shot looks more like a 1.5:1? Unless, of course, the 1:1 shot was cropped.:)

excellent shot.

what a backdrop to show the ugliness of this bug.

The horns, the back and even the leaf :p

hehehe. Maybe its a young Man face bug..

Interesting capture.

Somehow, I'm more drawn to the texture on the leaf.

They're moving very very slow, Could it be a ladybird larva, but other than this i also found some other bug with similar pins on their body. Check #4 & #5 below.
You are right, it's 1.5:1 and not 2:1.

excellent shot.

Thanks neoro, but i found the bug lack of an attractive color. Just with a pale yellowish body. But the most attractive part is the human face on its back.

Interesting capture.
Somehow, I'm more drawn to the texture on the leaf.
Thanks kiankheong.

It's got a smiley on it's buttock! A unique caterpillar? bug? insect?

Finally, I know what it is!
#6 - It's ladybird larva, Orionmystery was right.
27197

#7 - new born ladybird without black spots on its wings.
27198

#8 - leaving its larva's skin behind, i think it takes quit some times to tranform into adult.
27199

#9 - Almost there and ready to take-off.
27200

Cheers and C&C please!

Lovely series..the colors are so nice and natural. Great documentation as well.

How long did it take to transform from 6 to 9?
