Hi,

Currently I'm using 18-55mm IS and 55-250mm IS which are good lens for beginner like me. However it is a bit of hassle at times to change between them, not to mention have to carry both of them all the time. I'm wondering if there is a 3rd party lens which would cover around this range, 17/18 - 200/250mm (preferably f/2.8~) and should be in the RM1500 region.

By the way, does anyone knows how much I sell this lens for? It's practically brand new, especially 55-250 IS which I hardly use at all. Bought both less than 3 months ago.

maybe you can get Sigma 18-200mm? since you donwan to be so hassle...

and for the lens, I think you can sell somewhere below RM700? the new one should be around that price also. :)

What do you like to shoot the most ? Landscape ? Potrait or telephoto ??

If you have chance to upgrade..if would suggest you go for a better lens...

Sadly there's no 18-200 F2.8 lenses yet :( Your only choice if you want an all in one zoom is the Sigma 18-200 OS or Tamron 18-200/18-250 or canon's 28-200/28-300L. :D

However for RM1.5k, you can get the Tamron 17-50 F2.8 which is a good lens :)

Since u started with IS lens, lens without IS/OS is not easy for u anymore. So ur choice is limited to Sigma 18-200 OS like Xavierchan & Pengster suggested. Tamron plan to produce 18-270mm VC, but not sure when they will launch. Maybe next yr??
Can refer to the Buy/Sell thread, u can see how much ppl r trying to sell their similar lens like urs..
True, 55-250mm(with normal filter) cannot be higher than RM700.00...
