ISO100, f16, Bulb setting, control with a shutter release cable when i think enough fireworks captured or when there are possibility of over exposure.

I think not many people were aware of that day fireworks competition.
But this coming Saturday will attract a lot of people and expecting a massive jam then...:run_away:

Yes! I was there on 12 August 2008, these shots were taken below the slope. Are you from the group of four which arrived there 2 hours before the fireworks? Where are your shots, share with us.... :ranting:

Do you guys think that tomorrow, Aug 20 would attract a lot of ppl? How early should I go to secure a place at PICC? Some non-photog friends would be tagging along and I hope we can secure a place at PICC at least they can experience the sound effect too. Thanks!

I think the organiser have been controlling the traffic flow very well this year and don't expect many ppl today. I have not be to PICC for shooting fireworks, but i heard better be there hours before the fireworks display.:D

Yes you are right, schedule changed to start at 10PM for the rest of the fireworks displays.:)

Hi calvinteh, it depends on which spot were you are to shoot fireworks and how strong is the wing, if you are shooting against the wing then properly your shots will end up with smoky one.
On Team Malaysia day, I was shooting in front of PICC and the wing was blowing away from PICC, thus I could get very clean & smoke free shots. But not so lucky during team China & Canada:shrug:.
Another way is to try play with the curve adjustment in PS to get rid of the smoky effects. Cheers!
