Fireworks or TT in Putrajaya 16-8-08

It seems like it's a must go event, I'm trying to arrange the meet up at 5.45 at precinct 8 near the bridge, pls feel free to join us for fireworks shooting or TT after the show. My hp is 012-8880380

Anyone who has attended this in previous years and knows what time they set up the road blocks. How far away do we have to park?
What about going much earlier and do some shooting in the late evening while waiting for the fireworks?

I checked with PICC, they said car without sticker/pass cannot part inside PICC on the firework day. I afraid is not easy for us to meet up there..:(

My suggestion is to park as near as possible to PICC. Note the public car park on yr left:-

There will be FREE Mayflower coaches to ferry you to PICC if that is your final destiny (you guys can meet at PICC mezzanine floor as all the good spots will be gone if u wait at the car park) and back to the car park when the show is done. Last Tuesday, I saw no less than 10 buses ferrying the public but no Nadi putra public bus going up to the PICC. They will close the bridge at 6 pm on show days and the event had been delayed to 10 pm to start instead of 9.30 pm.

And to shoot the fireworks.
Mezzanine floor is free and opened to public whereas ground floor need RM coupons to enter. The coupons is for you to dine and drink.

You wont miss them when you had parked your car. But dont know what time they start to move to PICC. My guess would be by 6pm

If you guys check out the forum on this event on Photo Malaysia, they said that even when they arrived at PICC by 6pm, there are already people who have set up their tripods.. and the event starts at 9.30pm or 10pm.
So if you meet at Bkt Jalil at 6 and only go from there to Putrajaya..just imagine...

It was a fantastic fireworks outing, we had lots of fun and get to know each other better.

Thanks for the great recommendations and off-cam flash sharing from mobbes, and starship thanks for preparing us with some drinks and foldable chairs.

The TT is over, I therefore would like to close this thread and please open a new thread to upload the fireworks shots.
