Hi, wondering if anyone here has this newtrigger. Does it able to work with those cheaper 3rd party flashes? Eg nissin di622

I think best way is to bring it there to try before you buy.

I have tried china trigger with nissin, didn't work.

I saw from direct photo brochure that flash is mounted on a seagull adapter then to mini wizard.Would the same set up work with a PT-04 trigger? I like my Nissin but am trying to get it work wirelessly through radio rather than optical. Anyone tried this set up and ready to report on it?

On second look it seems that the jack on the seagull adapter is a female pc input and its thats the same mounted on a pt-04 receiver,so it's a no go. Guesss I need to trade in or sell off my Nissin for a more compatible slave.

I don't think it is compatible with Nissin flash.
Plan to get those and Nissin is not listed as one of the compatible flashes.

Not sure why people buy Nissin while can get Vivitar at almost same price.

Vivitar tends to have the zoom problem... ie, when switching on the flash, the zoom motor seems to get stuck and it sound... trak-trak-trak-trak....

as for nissin di622, anyone knows why it is not working with PT-04 ? I am guessing that it is because of the shoe contact point, but not sure how to crack it.

Too bad I am not good therefore not confident enough to atempt a DIY mode otherwise I will just put in jack in the Nissin like the pix below. This guy mode it on his 580EX. Maybe I will wait till my warranty runs out! Anyone who's handy with electronics?

where u get this photo from ?

contrary to the manual on Nissin Di622 which says that the Nissin flash will only be able to fire (in slave mode) with Nikon TTL flash... I managed to fire it just like that using manual flash from SB600. SB600 was set to slave and control from D200 camera.

dunno if this info help. :)
