After shooting the Japan GT roadshow in Times Square, I went to Sunway Pyramid just now looking to buy running shoes. Then I came across Fotokem and the E510 sits the majestically. The people there are very helpful and I took some sample shots. Since I am used to manual setting, please pardon the off-exposure coz what I really wanted to see only 3 things:

1. The ISO1600 performance.

2. The IS.

3. Will it retain the great olympian color.

The overly excited guys at Fotokem. Bribed them with GT queen shots and they eagerly allow me to test the E510.

ok, this was the photo taken earlier with my E500 which was used to gain friendship with the fotokem dudes. one of them said, "tonight you'll dream of the camera and i'll be dreaming of her."

ok, do not put general judgement of the E510 based on these shots coz they were taken at specific settings to test my hypothesis. basically i am very excited with the features which proved well to their words. So for those who has a budget of RM3k better take a closer look at this, SERIOUSLY!

This camera might revive olympus, I'm sure it'll sell quite well. Here's a video tour and a review,

hehe... i put it on manual and wanted to test both IS and ISO1600 at the same time. didn't check metering.

fotokem said around rm2.8k but may not be available at other outlets yet.

Cameralabs updated a few days ago and compared the E510's IS system to that of the L1 kit lens's OIS system. They even tested what would happen if you used both. :?

Currently I'm using E-300.....so far so good...
The only problem that i had is....the image in viewfinder is not sharp. Another things is....one of my friend recommend to get Canon or Nikon.....because it's better....
So far i still don't understand what he meant by "better".....
Can somebody tell me.....
E-510 also in my list...
