ok, i dunno how rare this is but there's a strand of hair in my camera viewfinder (EOS 400D). It's probably an eyelash since it's really small. And it seems to be inside the viewfinder, somehow. Because i've tried blowing and wiping but it's still there. its not the lense cuz ive tried switching lenses and it doesnt appear in my pictures which is a good thing but it's still annoying.

Ok, the night before, i dropped my camera. i fitted it on an old tripod and the thingy that hold the camera to the tripod just suddenly broke off and the camera fell about 3-4 feet (im not sure, normal tripod at maximum height) to a tiled floor. Thank God my camera still works fine and my lens is ok (definitly getting a filter now). Could it be a crack? but it's not really a straight line. It's kind of bent at the bottom. If it is hair or some kind of dust, how do i get rid of it? If it's cracked, how much will the replacement cost?

I suggest you bring it to canon to check it out... a drop like that, may not show any physical damage, but internally can knock something out of whack.

Anyway... if it is a hair, it can be 'blown' out with a blower or wiped out with a cloth... if neither of these don't get it out, then most likely it's a 'hairline' crack... (or u din blow or wipe hard enuf)...

best let canon look at it, as them to quote you before repairs.
