Good Day people,

I would be going to Lang Tengah soon with my D40. I have 2 question I would like to ask you,

1. Advice on taking care of my Nikon when I'm at the beach, it seems that proper precaution needs to be taken to take care of my camera in a beach environment.

2. Advice on taking good photos in places like this.

Hope to hear from you all soon and thank you for your advice =)

p/s: Thank you Alan for recommending me to this site last week.

Hi,

I went to Perhentian 2 weeks ago and got some tips from ST's prior trip to the same location. Basically dslr's best enemy in beaches and islands are sands & salty waters. Tiny bits of sands or salts from the beaches will kill your dslr instantly. I minimize taking photos on board of speeding boats during snorkeling trips. Try not to change lenses when it's windy.

Also I got myself a CPL filter just before the trip and it was a great tip by ST! CPL filter lets you off and on the reflection of the waters and gives your sky a darker blue color.
