Hi all, I'm a newbie, but I got interested in wedding photography when I was offered this job by a friend. I did it as a friend, as he already has an official photographer. Please comment and criticize.

1) Preparation

2) Some would argue that this is a bit unorthodox (taking the groom from behind), but I find this works. Bow before his parents, as a sign of seeking permission from them to bring back a bride.

3) EAT THIS! The pau was laced with deadly wasabi!

4) Chaos

5) Finally got in

6) Ang pow

7) Jewelleries

8) Tea ceremony

9) Frame

10) Reflection. I think I focused on the car instead of the reflection... :(

11) Married at last!

Yes, you have covered the key events of the wedding. I would like to see some pix oof "peak moments" ie a spontaneous outburst of emotions, or details of the day that you noted. That will separate a cameraman from a photographer :)

Keep the pix coming!

Thanks qqmeng and Loius for your positive comments. Yes I do try to capture those emotional moments. But sometimes they happen so fast, you rarely got the proper chance to capture them. And besides, I dare not stand too close to the couple, as the main photographer and the videographer were doing their work. :)

Continue with my post:

12) Glasses

14) I have finally found a place where all the emotions are running high: at the entrance of the wedding venue!

19) Love this old man. He was very expressive!

Ok, Jacky, Glad I have you in my team for 070707. ;)

The photos: at first thought. Why the groom bring Xiao Bai Cai?

Yeah, I notice that too... :( Almost the entire ceiling was draped in red cloths, making my bounce flash a bit tricky! But a good photographer never blames the situation. Hehehe. :D But thanks for your constructive comments! Lifted my confidence a lot!

Hahahaa .... never thought of that! (PS: Xiao Bai Cai = Chinese long cabbage) Thanks for the compliments andythology. As they all say, we are all still learning. Hope to learn more things from you too!
