Just a few photos from my JiuZhaiGou trips a few years back.
We hired a jeep together with a driver who drove us from ChengDu to Jiuzhaigou. But from what i see in Wikitravel, you can fly from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou as well nowadays. However, do bear in mind that the ride from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou itself could be a lot of fun too.

Hi genedavinci, package tours are readily available and affordable ;), but try not to go during China's National Day (Oct 1) and Labour Day (May 1). It will be packed everywhere.
Hi ST & derickuan, thanks! Yes, i used film. Minolta 700si and Tamron 28-200 mm.

My pleasure. Oh we hired a 4x4 together with a driver :D. We had the luxury of stopping wherever and whenever we wanted. But quite costly though. I think it was like 500 renminbi a day. Hmm, that touristy? When did you go? Not the May 1st and Oct 1st week i hope..LOL.

Yes, we hired a 4x4. The vehicle & driver belonged to non commercial co. which was introduced by a friend.

Hi noordin, thanks for viewing. Yeah, go visit before the natural beauty is ruined by excessive tourism.

No..it was also autumn..end Oct/ early Nov..thought we've avoided the maddening crowd...but perhaps, many others thot the same thing too:redface:
See..also got a similar pix of the lake...maybe same spot!
How touristy was it?..There's this part of waterfall and gushing streams with plank walkway over the water...and no rails at the sides. I didn't have to wallk..just got pushed all the way...almost went into the water at one point!
