First I used Nikon Capture NX to lighten the face and the legs. Then used PS to open the image. Go Image>Adjustments>Level. Adjust the slider at the shadow end to taste. Then Go Filter>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask. Adjust the Amount and Radius to your liking.

Here are mine - One B&W and One Colour.

Adjusted Shadow/Highlight, Increased Contrast, Sharpened. B&W Conversion with Channel Mixer.

I like ST's color version but not so with the B&W one.

Hahaha I dun remember the exact number but roughly is

I first fix the colour balance, sharpen the pic, clone another layer out, adjust the bottom layer's level (brighten and increase contrast), set blending mode on top layer to 'colour burn' (may have to darken abit), create a mask on the top layer so the colour burn only applies around the subject but not on the subject (I used a big eraser set at 50% to have better blend between the subject and the surroundings) thus creating the artificial vignetting effect.

Something like that lar......:drunk::drunk::drunk:

1. Overlay 100%
2. Screen 50%
3. +25% Lighten Shadow
4. +30% Saturation on her lips:P
5. Smart Blur (radius 1pixel, thersold 9pixels) on her forehead to remove some grains.
6. Saved as jpeg (quality #10).

I could do much better if I have the raw file or at least an better quality jpg.
the lighting on the face is too low.
