Very nice set. Maybe no 1 need to be cropped tight because the jeans at the side just spoiled the picture.

i love all of them.
from my observation, shooting on-going wedding shot is not something like studio shooting where everything were set-up before the shot.
there'll be something going on, somewhere during wedding ceremony.
and not all weddings would have the same environments, the same people, the same spaces, etc.
so, my vote will go for #1...

csjian : thank you for viewing! :)

noruazumi : Event photographers works differently from studio photographers. :) I love photo no 1 too. One of my fav!

tienseven : the last one reminds me of starwars. the right hand corner did spoil the photo though, but i still think it's strong enough. Maybe imperfection is also some form of art.

blur : is mehendi = henna?

louis : thanks dude! I tried registering for your workshop at lensa, but I am too late and too lil post :(. I guess I'll have to join you some other time!

Thank you guys. Your words have been very encouraging, definitely encourage me to go out there and shoot even more. Will update when the rest of the photos are ready!

Well usually I think they're used interchangeably. Mehendi refers to the body art itself, while henna is the dye/stuffs they use for drawing the designs. I've tried this once. The henna is squeezed and applied on your skin, like decorating a cake :D It leaves a really cooling feeling on your skin, and it's like clay. It dries off after sometime, which you then peel them off. After peeling off the henna, your design will be there and could last a few days.

i like your artistic shots very much.

Aren't all shots supposed to be artistic? Are there artistic and non-artistic shots? :rasta:

I categories those 'Big-Bright-Clear' picture to non-artistic shots. For example, formal family potrait on wedding day. :)

For me, I really like what the blurred foreground object adds to that picture. Different strokes for different folks, I guess :D

Hello HyperHex... Marvellous photos you have there! =)
Having covered a few wedding events myself, I gotta admit that it's definitely not easy to get shots like yours!

Thanks Liau. It was great to be at the right place at the right time.

I am shooting with 30D. 17-40, and a 70-200L :)

Diablo69. About the settings, depending which photo you are referring. Let me know which one, i try to describe them.

sE_vIxEn : Sikh wedding celebration are spread throughout the week. So, the first photo were taken before the hanna was applied on her arms and legs.
