hello guys, i got a question, what is the temperature of perfect skin tone?

there are some people tell me 5000 and some people told me 5500.

can someone help on this?? Can any one post a sample of perfect skin tone for me as a reference?

That's pretty much mis-information.

There's no such thing as white balance of skin tone, white balance is for the light.

The same person under tungsten light, sunlight, cloud, in shadow and shot with flash will need different white balance settings to get the correct natural skin tone.

i strongly agree with shaolintiger.
surrounding lights will definitely affect the white balance and of course the skin color, in your case.
unless u have a controlled light setup like what they usually did in studio.

if you're taking a photo outdoor, daytime then 5000-5500 would do just fine.

it is also largely dependent on the time of day, location, indoor etc like what ST has mentioned.

Forgive my ignorance but maybe we could ask ...what's a good mix of R, G and B values for say fair chinese skin or tanned Caucasian or cuddly lil babies etc. In PS you can actually see these values in the info pallette as you mouse over specific parts of the image
