View Full Version : Daily Notification not working?

I wonder if anyone's encountered a similar situation as me. The daily notification doesn't seem to take effect when it's selected during creation of the thread. If I have selected "Daily email notification" and proceed to create and submit the thread, the Notification Type becomes "none" when I go to view in the "List Subscriptions" function under User CP. I have to change it back to daily notification here instead, then only it works.

Some forums only send one notification for that particular thread and then no more until you visit the forum again.

I had considered that, but the forum is hosted in a datacenter and is using the php() mail command.

I'm doing some diagnostics to see if there is any obvious problems.

Ok I found the problem after doing some testing, the host had a hard limit of 1000 e-mails per day.

So we were hitting that early each day I guess, after that no more emails were getting sent - which meant notification and sign up emails might have been intermittent.

After some testing to multiple addresses e-mails seem to be coming through fine, so let me know if there's any more problems.

Mine is back to normal .. my mailbox is flooded lol .. are we still having the 1k email limitation ?

Nope limitation was raised so there should be no problems for now.

Seems ok for now. Previously (a week or 2 ago) some were delayed.
