This was what I saw last night.

And yes, that's a star on the left. I wish I could have captured the shining glitter from the star like how I saw it.
I really liked the shape of the moon that night. And that it had a shining star close to it. But I think it would have been even nicer if I had taken these earlier when the sky was still dark navy blue. That was when I spotted them, but too bad I had to wait until I got home before I could take pics of it :(
And these are a close-up crops of the moon, taken at different shutter speeds and apertures

These pics were captured using the 90-300mm lens, zoomed to the max. On a tripod, using a release cable. No major processing done on these pics, only resizing and (major) cropping :).
