Straight from the freezer, just how I like it - ice cold!

One of my favourite drinks neat - was taking some pics for my blog, so thought I'd play around with the lighting.

Can you reverse engineer the light(s)?

Yah, still not quite the effect I wanted - but close!

I'm just starting out too, interesting stuff :D

Thanks alan, I always keep this bottle in the freezer, so I thought it'd be interesting to capture.

On hindsight though I think it'd be even better with a bit of condensation trickling down.

The wonderful world of exif. :)

hmmm, search as I did, I just couldn't find out Noru's flash settings in the exif. Anyone?

On another point, noticed that the "black" bg material came out black in the bottle's shadow but grey in the light's path. Velvet? Does it really absorb light? Any other material that'll stay black?

Did you take any with a larger focal distants? or less so just the name is in focus?

Nothing in the EXIF that gives away the details apart from the flash did fire.

That's correct, he looked at my Flickr account...the details of the picture are in the description as I posted it to the Strobist group.

That's how he cheated :P

Yeah the black bg was art paper, I'm still looking for something better with more absorption - this paper still gives some diffused reflection.

Yah I did, I had 3 shots - this was my favourite though, you can check the other 2 on my Flickr.
