I have to admit I'm a bit of a camera bag junky, I'm like a girl when it comes to buying camera bags :run_away:
I just love them...and already have too many.
What do you prefer? Shoulder bag? Sling bag? Backpack?
I like each for different occasions.
So far I have:
LowePro CompuRover AW (Huge bag, good for travelling, can take laptop, camera, few lenses and other stuff like a jacket, drink and a couple of books).
Slingshot AW100 (Good when I had my D70s, a bit small for D200 with grip)
Slingshot AW200 (Better for D200 and grip)
Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home (I use this for most photoshoots as it can fit the camera with lens and grip + 3 extra lenses + a flash which caters for most shoots.
I like the slingbags for street photography.
I'm also planning on getting a Tamrac Adventure 9, for outdoor type hiking when a shoulder bag gets uncomfortable and the CompuRover is too big and bulky.

I also got too many...
Crumpler Whickey n Cox
Lowepro Sideline shooter
Lowepro Off Trail 2
I prefer belt bags for street photography.
Now looking at compurover...:(

n who says only ladies carry begs..hehe. seems like it's revenge for the guys buying begs n carrying it around without anyone say anything. hehe.
I have the Lowepro minitrekker and toploader. Looking for a bag that can fit a 15" notebook. Was thinking of the Rover AW but the bag is huge. May settle for the Computrekker instead. It's a bit tough to shop for bags here though.

considering Bagman Snapshot Trekka Camera.

I'm now using a Lowepro SlingShot 200AW. Quite good and the compartments are large enough for me....
I wanted to give those Shoulder bag a try... Maybe will get a Crumpler Million Dollar in future...

For travelling I prefer roller bag. Think Tank has some fantastic bags, airline regulation, although expensive, well worth the money

I got a Slingshot AW200 for daily use. I also have a 'cap ayam' medium slingbag to carry extra speedlights on a shoot. If I want to be unnoticed I use my 'bag in a schoolbag' combo. But now Im planning to get a cheap golfbag to carry my lightstand and umbrella for shoots..:P

I use Canon Selphy Sling Back... after using all sort of bag... the selphy's is the best for me... it can carry 1 body D70 attached with sigma 70-200, 1 zoom lense and sb600 flash + few accesories.
Easy to carry around even when fishing.

A great bag would definitely be the Kata Dr 467 @ Rm 300 which does all that! and more...carries a tripod and water bottle to top it off, and has a fair load of space for ur acc.

i only have 2. which serve very good purpose.
1) lowepro slingshot 200AW- this is exceptionally good for travel when you don't change lens tht much and quick access to the bag. but it can't carry very much gear.
2) ThinkTank speed belt - this is the beltpack i use more frequent nowadays..
as it is modular, i can remove unwanted lens pouch for minimal gear and easy to move around for event like wedding. change lens while on the job is very easy too.
slingshot 200aw is the best!! consider to get one soon,
now i have lowepro REZO 190 AW :)

aiyah, just buy those ponchos and put it in your Fastpack and its AW :D :D
i think the Fastpack is well designed so even without AW i don't think water would get through. The camera items are at the bottom so hard for water to go in la... (just my thought anyway)

Hehe, it's cheaper, but quality wise, hmm, it's a suspect.

i have a fastpack 350.
advantage
1. good when you are travelling with camera (and with notebook; sometimes with shirts inside)
2. love the design. really "friendly" to my back & shoulder which has been a great issue when i was using Computrekker AW last time.
3. almost water proof. let's call it "spill proof". i have no problem pouring bottle water on the bag.
4. lots of small pockets to put stuffs.
disadvantage
1. not good when u constantly need to change your lens.
2. limited customizations on the partitions.
anyway, this bag meant for travelling. which means that it can't provide u with super fast access.

My favourite is the LowePro AW 85 Specialist; reasons why I like it:
- it is not too large, doesn't look like camera bag too much.
- despites size hold and incredible amount of gear; if I really pack it it holds D3, 300mm f4, 80-200 f2,8, 50, 20, 35, 85 primes, 17-35 3,5-4,0, 24-85 f2,8-4,0. That's a whooping 8 lenses!
Plus two Nexto image drives, GPS and stuff.
Of course with it's five toploading slots the primes are stacked on top of each other that way and not so easy to access. Up to 5/6 lenses it is perfect to use however.
- can be use as shoulder bag (with main weight transferred on hip by large waist belt) and as backpack (with additional harness) for longer hikes.
- top loading, cover opening outwards (away from body); no probs changing lenses while bag hanging off shoulder; no need to put down bag.
- build in raincover.
Was so convinced that I got two of this bag now, the old and dirty one for outdoor and travel, the new and clean one for city shooting (can't bring the old one into posh places anymore...hehehehe...)
Modified an little daypack (for my clothes and stuff) with clip-ons to be attached on top of it (it hangs low on waist and butt when worn as backpack, which is actually good due to its heavy weight when fully loaded) on the shoulder harness so that I can carry all on my back on long hiking trips.

still not happy with my bag purchases :) , wanted to find out for those who are using Manfrontto tripod (namely 190xpro), what's the smallest lowepre bag which should be able to attach the tripod too.
Computrekker seems OK but its too bulky for often use.
I was thinking of the Lowepro Micro Trekker 200. i think at the bottom of the bag, you can attached a tripod :? Anybody using this setup?
Please advise.

It doesn't have to be. There are solutions that enables us easy access, with good support.
I've been using a Think Tank modular belt system myself, and it helps much when it comes to carrying and changing between my 3 lenses (10-22, 17-50, 70-200. (Soon to add a 50 f1.4 or a 85 f1.4 to the list), flash, water bottle, memory cards and hehe, Kit Kat bars :D

Glad to hear from you. And yes, it was me you called ;) Hope you do enjoy using your modular set. Do let us know your feedback, and perhaps testimony, if it's good with you. We're still a small start up, looking to expand our staff & perhaps partner(s) soon.
Cheers!

hehehe Yeah... More think tank kakis..
I use my TT Rotation 360 on all day out trips, as travelling around singapore requires lots of standing and walking as I don't drive, and a Urban Disguise 60 incase I want to bring my gear out during work days :p

Ah! So it's you! Sorry i didn't manage to catch your name during the call. :(
Haven't really use it in the field yet, only managed to try at home.
Hmm...just realize that's too many modular bags for me. I wouldn't be able to use them all at once! Maybe i don't have a wide waist... :P
Was trying to figure what bag goes where should work well for me, how to use the harness, etc...
Will be using them the 1st time coming this Fri/Sat at Genting.
I'll provide some feedback after that.....
Currently i find that my body (camera) will be rubbing against the belt's plastic buckle if i put my strap across my neck.
I guess i need to either rotate the buckle slightly to one side or to change the strap length (unlikely).
(i'm the kind who 99.99% of the time don't strap around my neck, usually over the shoulder but always open to try new things that works!)
Added a Kata KTC R-101 DC Rucksack so I now have a backpack :D
It's a pretty good bag, although it might lack space for some. It has this thermal thing at the front and the padding inside is soft and nice. IMHO, the harness system is very comfortable even when it's loaded full.

Guys I'm looking to get a backpack that can has a good space for SLR cameras and lenses, notebook... I know there's a lot of bags out there that fits this description, but my main criteria is that I can store LOTS of other things too... big water bottle, jacket, stacks of A4, books, etc etc....
Is there any such backpack out there or would I be better off buying something that comes on wheels? :P

Haha.... thinking of using it to go to work also ma... so have to put in water bottle, laptop (a must), sometimes jacket (in cold countries), some work papers and prolly a book (when bored).
Very inconvenient to carry a laptop bag AND a backpack around.

is there a V2 already?
I'm considering the Anti-dote for travelling where it can carry 300/400 prime lenses.
