This reverse adaptor is generally meant for 50mm prime lenses, as they give good magnification are light and most people have one (plus the front filters are small at 58mm).

What I've noticed with reversing lenses is that the shorter the focal length of the lens you reverse, the greater the amount of magnification you get, and correspondingly a shallower DOF.
Just something for you to keep in mind if you're looking to get this.
i tot 50 mm thread is 52mm? so can i fix this to my 50mm f1.4?

Is it really safe? This ring would be attached to the front of the lens i.e. the focusing ring, and the whole weight of the lens would be on the focusing ring.........
i normallyjus hold it by hand in front of the camera...
and you would still have to distance focus, right? i.e. moving closer of further fr the subject to get focus...

use DCR250 la can autofocus ... why wanna use this old tecnic... u cant set the aparture on your canon if u are using and no autofocus for all system and are pround to dust :P
