Hi there,
I was wondering to get this accessories or not by Matin, Neoprane wide neckstrap. Anyone using the same or other brand? Would love to hear feedbacks on the nikon original and 3rd party neoprane neckstrap difference. :)
Cheers

I'm using Optech Pro strap, love it, much better than original strap.
The Matin one is similar.

the one by matin makes my camera feel weightless. absolutely love it. doesnt hurt my neck even when i carry it around for hours. the original strap makes my neck stiff after an hour or 2. and the one by matin is washable too i think, just detach it from your camera from the quick release and pop it into a washing machine (if its possible) or just hand wash it.
i'm now using Matin one. I can shorten it as a hand hand strap and a neck strap. I love the material so much...
Had call YL b4 for Optec but no stock and cost rm85. Then go shashinki and got the Matin @ rm55. Next day delivery right after the bank in.
ops...sound like advertising... back to the strap, it is longer and much more comfortable as compared to original Nikon strap.

Thanks guyz... will get one for my another new toy... :D as the weight increased incredibly, guess that is the best thing to get... haha
By the way, is the angulared ones better than the straight ones?
if you intend to get the Matin, SSK only bring in Curve strap and dont have the straight...

Still like my Canon EOS strap. :P
Due to I sweat a lot, the Canon Strap that has a leather (PU) really served the purpose of not absorbing the sweat.
The Neoprene and Matin is great for the weightless feel of carrying the camera, but "Stinko" when sweat is soaking in a lot. :(
I have been using a couple of Tamrac neoprene straps for years. They reduces load greatly (although I don't find a big difference compared to thinner broad neckstraps) and I have a couple of comments.
Firstly, I am one of those who likes to wrap the strap around my wrists when I don't have it around my neck. The thick neoprenes are like mini pythons around my wrist. Next, neoprene stretches. I am not too fond of it when a heavy setup bounces up and down due to the stretching.

Alan,
I agree with that. Seems like the conventional neck strap is good enough. I have bought the camo nikon original neckstrap... couldn't resist its beauty... :D

Just changed my D200's ori hard strap to Matin (curved) [with Nikon logo :)] and coupled it with the leather hand strap. Should have done that LONG time ago, so don't have to suffer during my overseas trips :)
