Similar to my other watch shots in style and lighting but I cannot resist sharing these with you in reflection of my enjoyment of shooting such a thing of beauty!

Fyi, Dornblüth & Sohn is a father and son operation in Germany. Their production numbers are very low annually and this particular piece uses a vintage Glashutte movement which they refurbished and decorated.

With minute repeater? You did not happen to buy one, did you Lanatir? How much do one of these beauties cost?

Oops, too many questions. Your usual style is all good...but this time round it seems there's a little overexposure? Either that or my monitor is acting up..

chow, that is blued steel... steel that is heated until it changes colour. the screws u see on the movement are also blued steel. it's normally very hard to capture in photos

Very very nice, mouth watering :D
Thanks, lanatir.

Is this Sohn the same Sohn as A Lange Sohn or something like that?

Sohn/Sohne... german for son/sons...

For this, it's Dornbluth and Son.

Same as Lange... A Lange Uhn Sohne (Lange and Sons)

thanks... there are also some crazy variations like purple steel. the latter is very difficult to achieve only through insane temperature control
