The BALL solution to the problem of reading time in the dark is the Self-Powered Micro Gas Lights (3H).

This Swiss technology safely captures pure tritium gas in a mineral glass tube coated with luminescent material.

The light is produced when the electrons of the tritium strike the luminous phosphors on the inside of the glass.

This is a very old BALL watch - way before they started promoting the brand in Malaysia. I think not many have seen this before.

With your discription of the watch, the photo you attached not really match it. Should shoot it in the dark and show how the watch illuminate in the dark.

And it will be total pitch dark with 26 green spots and one orange spot.... some might say it's not a watch but UFO then...... :tongue_roll::tongue_roll:

Low key lighting will be nice with very soft specular highlight to show the glow of the numbers.

very nice B&W tone but like the others said, low key would help too make it more dramatic.

Yeah true, if you come back late, the watch is so bright that you will looked like a "painted target" sitting there waiting for airsrtike - the burning smell of A-bomb looming

Not easy to show the glow and at the sametime still have any details on the dial.

I've tried to shoot some today to no avail... maybe we can have a watch shooting session? Strobist anybody? :run_away::run_away::run_away:
