Were supposed to meet at entrance at 9am, was late by half an hour...! Thankfully, Cavey, chow, SK, and CM waited for me. No NDs, no CPLs, just kit.

Took this because have never seen the yellow part on its side before

Sigh, without CM's RAYNOX, this is the furthest I could get of these - both squaring off, with one of 'em missing a foreleg!

Alan, nice cover of the outing.....:)
You sure like to use f/10 on aperture priority.....hehehe...but becareful as sometimes the camera could be fooled and give wrong exposure.
Just my worthless 2 sens. :)

True, thanks DK, glad you liked it. Wish there is more to share  As you've noted, I normally shoot in Aperture priority, leaving it to the on-board comp to decide; but if I don't like wot I see, I'll switch between shutter speeds and aperture via command / subcommand dials, or ISO.
Nice coverage....signs that you'll be looking for a macro lens soon...
Thanks Goji, I've been wanting the 105/2.8 AF/AFD ever since I knew wot sort of glass produced those pictures that I love so much :D:D
nicely done alan.
